Middle school students are studying New Mexico history and recently went to the Indian Art & Cultural Museum. While there, they discovered Navajo, Apache, and Pueblo cultures and saw weavings, paintings, clay pottery, and hogans. They also visited the New Mexico History Museum where students continued to explore and be awed by the rich heritage of our state.
March 4 was a day of dreams! The Ribbon Cutting Event for the New Mexico School for the Deaf-Navajo Nation Tele-audiology Center in Gallup, NM was an absolute celebration of community and collaboration between NMSD and key stakeholders across the state. The goal of tele-audiology is to provide for early diagnosis of hearing differences so that all babies in our very rural state have timely access to language. Thank you to all who made this happen!
