The Kenneth Brasel Museum was established in 1987 to celebrate 100 years of education at the New Mexico School for the Deaf. Curated by NMSD staff and students, the museum houses one of the most comprehensive collections of American Deaf school history and memorabilia. The museum not only displays artifacts related to the school’s history, but also serves as a valuable research center for students, historians and writers from across the globe.

The Kenneth E. Brasel Centennial Museum is open during business hours when school is in session. Alumni and sports exhibits are housed in different buildings and are subject to limited hours. Contact the school for additional information or to visit the museum at 505-476-6300.
